IXT Studio is made up of two artists, Erick Marquez and Mayling Pao. Their professional work consists of illustration, design and fine art.

Erick Marquez was born in El Paso, TX. Before his graduation from the Kansas City Art Institute, he interned for DC Comics in New York City. His editing responsibilities consisted of grammatical checks, informational consistency in plot, anatomical corrections, effectiveness in design and page layouts, appropriate use of colors and lighting, and proper placement of text within a page.

As a freelance artist, his illustrations have appeared in publications such as the Kansas City Star, Pitch Weekly, and Baking Buyer magazine. In addition to illustration, his professional work has also consisted of graphic art work for websites.

Mayling Marquez (born Mayling Pao) was 4 years old when she left Nicaragua, with her family due to war in her country. At a very young age of only 9 years old, she decided to begin stuyding visual art and began attending art magnet schools in Miami, FL. She attended the prestigious high school, New World School of the Arts and continued her education at the Kansas City Art Institute in Kansas City, MO.

During her last year at the Kansas City Art Institute, she began her professional illustration experience with an internship and later freelancing for the Kansas City Star newspaper. Over 20 of her color illustrations have been published in the newspaper.

Her fine art painting and drawings have been exhibited in galleries and art festivals in Miami, FL. and Kansas City, MO.

Mayling is also a professional web designer and graphic artist. Her experience includes the designing, building and maintaining many websites simultaneously, as well as search engine optimization.
